Brookside Farm is an organically operating market garden farm located in the rolling Northumberland Hills less than 100 miles NE of Toronto, growing heirloom vegetables, herbs, flowers and fruit from certified organic seeds.
Our land has been chemical-free for almost two decades, and we adhere to the standards set by the Ecological Farmers of Ontario (EFO).
Our farm has become a haven for birds, bees and butterflies, as well as a myriad of 4-footed creatures including rare salamanders and tree frogs. We believe this makes us good farmers.
During the summer months we sell our food crops at local farmers’ markets and, at the end of harvest time, we have a limited quantity of various preserves, sauces, and other irresistible treats available.
All of our products are made by hand, in small batches, from our own crops, and incorporate the freshest, finest quality ingredients, such as extra virgin olive oil, Normandy sea salt, local honey and fruit.
